You don’t need a new life.
Just more intention and connection in the one you’re already living.

Joy is
connection to what truly matters to you.
Ready to find and create more of it?

Meet Joy Coaching.

Joy Coaching helps you move from waking up tense, going through the motions, and second-guessing yourself all the time to feeling more present, capable, and connected to what truly matters.

Imagine starting your mornings without that low-level dread. You feel clear about what’s important today, instead of pulled in every direction. You pause before saying yes or no, aware of what you actually want. Your life begins to feel like something you shape, not something that just happens to you.

That’s what reconnecting to your joy looks like in real life.

Joy Coaching is like personal training for your emotional life.

Together, we’ll:

  • Identify and reflect on what matters most to you

  • Build practices to reconnect with your joy and energy

  • Strengthen emotional flexibility to navigate life’s ups and downs

  • Integrate sustainable habits that fit your real life

  • Bring you more clarity and confidence, even in chaos

Joy is not just a feeling,
it’s a
practice.

And like any practice, it’s much easier to establish and maintain with support.

Let me be yours.

Why Joy Coaching with me?

  • As a psychologist with art therapy training, I use evidence-based methods to help you connect to what’s really important and increase your joy levels, with the support of creative tools, empathy and experience.

  • You don’t get just conversation, but practical tools you carry forward. The process is gentle yet effective, validating of your experience while eye-opening. There are no quick fixes, but there is sustainable change.

  • Joy coaching is not actually only about joy. To experience more joy, we have to allow all feelings, so we build the capacity for it, positively impacting all areas of your life. We work on emotional literacy, not toxic positivity.

  • I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) principles in my work to help you increase your psychological flexibility - to be present, open up, and do what matters.

Why Joy Coaching is for you…

Asynchronous coaching

Made for busy moms, entrepreneurs, people with unpredictable or less flexible schedules - when you can’t or don’t want to have to schedule regular live sessions and you’d rather work at your own pace, while still being regularly supported.

This is coaching that meets you where you are, designed for smart, self-aware people who want real support - without another calendar overload. It means that I will send you ideas and activities tailored to your goals, you will send me your notes and reflections (either written or voice notes, you choose!), and I will keep adapting the process to your needs and desires. In other words, we’ll be working together while not meeting at the same time (with the occasional live call to more easily build our working relationship).

Accountability & support

Maybe you are already aware of what more joy could mean for your quality of life and you don’t have to be convinced of its value, but when life’s obligations and pressures come knocking - and they always do - joy is the first thing that gets dropped from the to-do list.

With my support, that will be no more! Working with me will be like having a private joy companion in your pocket - non-intrusive, but always there for you; helping you put joy in its rightful place - not above everything else, but alongside it, not denied or forgotten.
Because other things might be better at demanding urgent attention, but making space for joy pays off both short-term and long-term, making our relationship to ourselves, others and the world better.

Acceptance & ambition

In Joy Coaching with me, we welcome all the nuances of life and toe the line between acknowledging and accepting what is currently true, without judgment; and being ambitious and optimistic about the possibility of change.

Using the framework of (including, but not limited to) Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, we focus on building your capacity to deal with all the experiences in life - both difficult and joyful, heavy and easeful, while exploring how to change your behaviour in meaningful, lasting ways. That’s what psychological flexibility is about and that’s why we want to have more of it - to confidently and courageously navigate the challenges of life, while choosing what is important to us and doing what matters.

This isn’t therapy and it’s not a one-size-fits-all generic approach.

This is your Joy Embassy.

An inviting, psychologically grounded space where you
rewire your relationship to joy and yourself,
week by week, experiment by experiment, reflection by reflection.

All the while being expertly supported and celebrated,
encouraged and understood.

✺ Frequently asked questions ✺

  • Twice a week, you’ll receive thoughtful prompts and check-ins to explore your joy in ways that suit you.

After setting your joy goals, you’ll get a personalized activity on Mondays, and a check-in on Thursdays to help keep the momentum going. You can respond and reflect at your own pace, and send any extra questions you might have — I review and respond to your notes on Tuesday and Friday mornings.

Each month also includes a 30-minute live online session to review progress and adjust your journey.

  • Yes - this is a month-to-month partnership, not a long-term contract. You can cancel anytime with 7 days notice before the next billing cycle.

There’s no pressure to continue unless it feels right for you. You’re also welcome to return later - this is an open-door model, not a closed program.

That said, many clients find that committing to at least 2–3 months allows for deeper shifts and lasting results. You’re always in control of the pace and duration.

  • No, this service is available worldwide!

  • Absolutely, always. Everything we discuss, in whichever format or platform, is always treated with the highest level of confidentiality. Ethical standards are very important to me as a psychologist.

  • No, Joy Coaching is a private support service and not covered by Dutch health insurance. However, many clients find it a valuable investment in their emotional wellbeing and quality of life, often complementing or preventing the need for psychotherapy.

  • That’s up to you. Most activities are designed so that you can complete them in 15-30 mins, once or twice per week (or in shorter, more frequent bursts), and you choose how much time for reflection before and after that you are able and willing to dedicate.

This is a flexible process that can easily adapt to whatever season of life you are in.

  • That’s totally okay - joy work is often found in the subtleties.

Some weeks are about big insights, others are about noticing what’s working, or navigating quiet discomfort. There’s no pressure to perform or bring a “big issue” - this space meets you exactly where you are, whether that’s calm or chaos, or both.

  • Great question, and an important one.

Therapy is often focused on healing past wounds or diagnosing and treating mental health conditions. Coaching, especially in this format, is forward-focused and growth-oriented.

As a psychologist, I bring depth and emotional safety to our work. But this is not therapy - it’s an empowered space where we focus on your growth, agency, and joy now. Think of it as a bridge between psychological insight and real-world embodiment.

If something arises that would benefit from clinical support, I’ll always be transparent and refer you appropriately.
