Being a good mom matters deeply to you, but you’re overwhelmed and stuck.

You don’t need more parenting rules.
You need support and simple tools.
Practical, personalised, purposeful.

Meet
Joy Coaching for moms of littles.

Picture this…

You have a set of mental and physical tools that help you cope with the difficult moments in parenting with less guilt and pressure, more acceptance and presence.

Instead of just surviving the days, you start noticing joy again in tiny, everyday moments, finally starting to feel like yourself again.

You stop second-guessing yourself and start making choices that match your values with calm confidence (even if others raise an eyebrow).

That’s how you can feel as a mom: self-trusting, steady, joyful.

As a society, we seem to be getting better about acknowledging the tough parts of motherhood, and that is very important.
But there is also so much joy in it, and that can get lost in the chaos of everyday logistics.

I am here to

Why Joy Coaching with me?

  • I’m a psychologist and a mom of 2.
I know both personally how it feels to be where you are, and professionally how to help you move from feeling stuck and uncomfortable towards meaningful change.

  • You don’t get just conversation, but practical tools you carry forward. The process is gentle yet effective, validating of your experience while eye-opening. There are no quick fixes, but there is sustainable change.

  • Joy coaching is not actually only about joy. To experience more joy, we have to allow and acknowledge all the feelings, so we build the capacity for it. We work on emotional literacy, not toxic positivity.

Why Joy Coaching is for you…

Designed for unpredictable days

This is coaching that fits into your life without adding to your calendar overload.

You move at your own pace while still being consistently supported. I send you ideas, reflections, and practices tailored to your goals, and I support you with whatever comes up for you in the process. You respond when it works for you. I adapt the process as we go, based on what you need and want.

You don’t have to do it alone

Working with me is like having a private joy companion and emotional guide in your pocket: gentle but encouraging, non-intrusive but reliable.

The urgency of other responsibilities will not necessarily go away, but your joy can live alongside them, and I help you make room for it all. Because caring for yourself isn’t some idealistic nice-to-have add-on - it’s what helps everything else feel more manageable over time.

Accepting reality while inviting change

Joy Coaching holds two truths at once: accepting what’s real right now, without judgment, and staying hopeful and intentional about change.

Using frameworks like Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, we build psychological flexibility - the ability to meet life as it is, while choosing how you want to respond. You’ll learn to navigate both hard and joyful moments with more confidence and courage.

✺ Frequently asked questions ✺

  • Twice a week, you’ll receive thoughtful prompts and check-ins to explore your joy in ways that suit you.

After setting your joy goals, you’ll get a personalized activity on Mondays, and a check-in on Thursdays to help keep the momentum going. You can respond and reflect at your own pace, and send any extra questions you might have - I review and respond to your notes on Tuesday and Friday mornings.

Each month also includes a 30-minute live online session to review progress and adjust your journey.

  • “Moms of littles” is my playful term to describe moms who are currently in the phase of parenting little kids, ages roughly 0 - 5. But, there’s no strict cut-off and you are welcome to get in touch with me regardless of the age(s) of you child(ren).

While every stage of motherhood has its own joys and challenges, this stage in particular often includes a whirlwind of feedings and feelings, unpredictable naps and ever-changing schedules, tantrums and tiny wins that feel huge. Between managing your child’s needs, household responsibilities, and your own changing sense of self, it’s especially easy to feel stretched, guilty, or disconnected.

This stage is challenging, chaotic, and deeply rewarding all at once, and having steady support can make all the difference.

  • No, this service is available worldwide!

  • Absolutely, always. Everything we discuss, in whichever format or platform, is always treated with the highest level of confidentiality. Ethical standards are very important to me as a psychologist.

  • No, Joy Coaching is a private support service and not covered by Dutch health insurance. However, many clients find it a valuable investment in their emotional wellbeing and quality of life, often complementing or preventing the need for psychotherapy.

  • That’s up to you. Most activities are designed so that you can complete them in 15-30 mins, once or twice per week (or in shorter, more frequent bursts), and you choose how much time for reflection before and after that you are able and willing to dedicate.

This is a flexible process that can easily adapt to whatever season of life you are in.

  • That’s totally okay - joy work is often found in the subtleties.

Some weeks are about big insights, others are about noticing what’s working, or navigating quiet discomfort. There’s no pressure to perform or bring a “big issue” - this space meets you exactly where you are, whether that’s calm or chaos, or both.

  • Great question, and an important one.

Therapy is often focused on healing past wounds or diagnosing and treating mental health conditions. Coaching, especially in this format, is forward-focused and growth-oriented.

As a psychologist, I bring depth and emotional safety to our work. But this is not therapy - it’s an empowered space where we focus on your growth, agency, and joy now. Think of it as a bridge between psychological insight and real-world embodiment.

If something arises that would benefit from clinical support, I’ll always be transparent and refer you appropriately.
