"There is joy, but I can’t stay with it."

Your Joy Block is Presence

You’re doing a lot, but joy keeps feeling just out of reach.

Not because you lack joy, but because your attention is always a few steps ahead (or behind).

Your mind might be busy planning tomorrow’s schedule, replaying yesterday’s mistakes, or scanning for what’s next.

Even in calm, beautiful, or happy moments, it can be hard to fully land there. Often it feels like you’re watching life through a screen instead of truly stepping into it.

You may notice joy peeking through in small flashes - a child’s laugh, a cup of tea, the sunlight hitting the floor - but you’re used to moving on to the next thing too fast to catch it.

🔑 What could help:

Gently practicing being where you are, consciously returning to the moment over and over again. Remind yourself that it is very normal to step out of the moment, and that you can always choose to come back to it.

Tiny practice:

Pause for 10 seconds today. Feel your feet on the floor, take one breath, and notice one thing you enjoy. Allow yourself to really feel the little pleasure for a few seconds without moving on immediately.

This is exactly what we explore in 1:1 Joy Coaching: how to return to your life, one moment at a time.
